Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have provided an update following a collision on the A49 at Callow overnight.

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service all attended the incident on the A49 between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye.

The incident involved a car and a lorry.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“Four Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Hereford and one each from Fownhope and Leominster Fire Stations – were called at 19:45 on 5 March to an RTC involving a large vehicle at Callow, Hereford.

“The incident involved a car and a lorry. One female casualty was released by fire service personnel and handed over to the care of the ambulance service who attended along with police.

“The incident was marked as pending closure at 21:01.”
