A man was rescued from the River Wye in Hereford on Sunday.
The incident occurred near the Old Bridge in Hereford.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford Fire Station, including water first responders, boat crews from Hereford and Worcester and the incident command unit and drone from Ledbury were called at 11:14 on 27 October to a rescue from water in Bridge Street, Hereford.
“A man, who was conscious and breathing, was rescued from the water by the swift water rescue team using a sled before being handed over to the care of the ambulance service.
“Police also attended. The incident was marked as pending closure at 12:09.”
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service added:
“We were called at 11.22am on Sunday (27thOctober) to reports of a person in the river near Victoria Bridge, Mill Street, Hereford.
“An ambulance and paramedic officer attended along with fire and police colleagues.
“One man was rescued by the fire service before being assessed by ambulance staff and conveyed to Hereford County Hospital as a precaution.”
