A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew have been attacked with fireworks and rockets in what is being described as a shocking incident.
The incident, described by North Worcestershire’s Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s Group Commander, happened over the weekend.
It’s understood that the incident occurred in Worcestershire. West Mercia Police were called to the incident.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Really disappointed that one of our Fire Crews were attacked with fireworks and rockets this evening whilst extinguishing a fire. CCTV now on all of our Fire engines to help protect our staff from actions such as this. West Mercia Police came to the rescue!”
