Organisers have announced that the Hereford Pride event that was due to take place on the 18th June has been postponed until later this year.
A spokesperson for Hereford Pride said:
“We are devastated to say that we have no choice but to postpone Hereford Pride 22 until later in the year.
“It has not been an easy decision to make and we apologise whole-heartedly for the impact that this may have on acts, businesses, volunteers and Hereford Pride attendees.
“The Hereford Pride C.I.C and committee has been working tirelessly to try and avoid postponing, but sadly, as a not-for-profit event, a lack of funding means we simply need more time to make the event the huge success that it should be.
“Hereford Pride C.I.C. will instead be hosting a party on the scheduled date of 18th June (venue & times to be announced – watch this space) to make sure people don’t miss out on celebrating during Pride Month & to raise funds to go towards putting on Hereford Pride this coming September.
“The BIG PRIDE PARTY will take place on the evening of 18th June – the party will be ticketed and will be for over 18’s only. (tickets & details to be announced shortly)
“Also, keep your eyes peeled on the Hereford Pride Facebook page for details of other fundraising events taking place in the lead up to Hereford Pride in September.”
