Hereford Medical Group has issued an urgent message for patients, with a number of staff calling in sick, leading to longer waiting times for patients calling in.

An update from Hereford Medical Group this morning said:

“This morning we have had a number of staff who have not been able to attend work due to sickness.  

“As a result, call waits will be much higher today.  

“We would ask patients to consider:

“Whether their query is urgent for today and if not to consider calling back later in the week.

“Use the call back function – the place will be held in the queue and you will be called back when you get to the top of the queue meaning that you do not have to wait on hold.

“For non-urgent queries, consider submitting an online request via our website.  Contact us about your request –

“Staff will be working hard to answer calls as quickly as possible and we would ask patients to be considerate when speaking to them. Thank you.”
