Hereford Medical Group has issued a message to all patients, with the NHS under significant pressure.
A post shared on social media by Hereford Medical Group said:
We know many of you are experiencing longer waits and delays – and we want to explain why.
The NHS is under significant pressure, with hospitals facing long waiting lists and increasing demand.
This pressure is now being felt in GP practices, too – especially as many patients are waiting for hospital care and are turning to us for ongoing support.
📈 In the last 12 months, we’ve seen a 15% increase in patient contacts compared to the previous year. That’s thousands more appointments, calls, and requests – and we’re doing everything we can to keep up.
💬 What are we doing to help?
✅ Every patient request is triaged by a GP to ensure those who need urgent help are seen quickly – either on the same day or within a week, depending on clinical need.
✅ We’re doing our best to make sure the right care is given to the right person at the right time.
✅ We’re also working hard behind the scenes to reduce waiting times and improve access for all our patients.
