“We have now increased our maximum capacity for patients waiting in the queue when calling the surgery.
“This will allow a greater volume of patients to benefit from our call back system.
“The call back system will remember your place in the queue, and will call you back automatically once you reach the front.
“Don’t worry if you miss the first call back, as a second attempt will be made to call you.
“This system will save you waiting on the line to speak to a member of the team.
“Please can we ask patients to continue to submit the secure online form via our website for routine or non urgent problems, and to only use the phone line to request an appointment if it is an urgent on the day matter such as a urine Infection, chest Infection, throat infection, ear Infection, new swelling in leg/s, bleeding in pregnancy, fever in children, or new severe abdominal pain.”
