Hereford City Council resolved to make no increase to its Council Tax precept, at a Council meeting on Tuesday 26th January.

This means that the element of the Council Tax bill received by residents for the costs of the City Council will remain the same and not see an increase.

Although the City Council’s income would have fallen this year due to a technical adjustment to the tax base (a formula used to work out the number of properties in each tax band), some savings in running costs have been made and the City Council will also be drawing on its reserves to balance the budget.
