Many of us gaze up at Hereford Cathedral’s spectacular tower as we pass by daily, but how many Herefordians have actually taken the time to climb the tower to enjoy the views?

Well, the good news is, if you haven’t already climbed the 218 steps at Hereford Cathedral, the opportunity is not lost, with Hereford Cathedral announcing that tower tours will return in April 2022, following a two year postponement due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Tower Tours: Restarting 13 April 2022

More adventurous visitors can climb the 218 steps for some of the finest views of the city and county of Herefordshire, and beyond. Tours include the Lantern Gallery and Ringing Chamber with a set of panoramic interpretation boards at the very top. Tours are limited to good weather and may not be suitable for all visitors. Children must be accompanied by an adult and Hereford Cathedral recommends that the climb is only suitable for children aged 8 or over.

Certificates are issued to all who manage the climb to the top!

Prices are £6 for adults and £3 for children under 16 or full-time students.
