Wigmore High School headteacher Dr Rob Patterson has issued an update to parents and said that the school continues to record a ‘high number’ of COVID-19 cases, but fortunately, cases numbers appear to have stopped rising.
In a letter to parents, Dr Rob Patterson (Executive Headteacher at Wigmore High School) said:
“We are still experiencing a high number of cases of Covid-19 at the High School, although cases no longer appear to be rising. Unfortunately, this means that we are not yet in a position to remove the additional measures that were put in place last week as case numbers continue to sit above the 10% threshold in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10. We will review these measures again next week and I will update you further then.
“Thankfully, Wigmore Primary School is still largely unaffected with only three cases in students at the school this term. Similar to the High, we have contingency measures ready to be put into place should cases rise at the Primary.”
