Had enough of the rain and showers? May has been unseasonably wet so far, with many parts recording double their average monthly rainfall with a week of the month remaining.

The good news is that things look better for the upcoming bank holiday weekend.

The weather looks set to improve from tomorrow, with any showers becoming fewer and far between with highs rising towards the high teens by the time we reach Thursday.

The Met Office for the West Midlands says:

Mostly dry with sunny spells on Wednesday. Fine and dry on Thursday with sunshine. Cloudier on Friday with outbreaks of rain. Temperatures gradually returning towards average.
