The cost of school uniform is a pressure that many families feel. With many parents simply struggling to afford the increasing costs, a Facebook page was set up earlier this year to support families that struggle to afford school uniform in Herefordshire.
The Herefordshire Free School Uniform page was set up and the founders say that they ‘believe that every child deserves to look and feel smart at school and to avoid the negative effects of hardship on their wellbeing and education.’
The group goes on to ask people to donate their good quality school uniforms for others and also adds that by donating your preloved school uniform, you are helping to keep good clothing out of the landfill and recycling uniform to children who need its.
