There is a small risk of flooding in Herefordshire this weekend due to heavy and torrential rain that is expected to fall across parts of Wales over the next 48 hours.
The Met Office warning for South and Mid Wales says:
“Heavy rain is expected across Wales on Sunday. This follows a wet Saturday for many with widely 40-60 mm of rain during the weekend and some spots perhaps seeing 100 mm or more.”
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
River levels on the River Wye are expected to rise, alongside other rivers such as the River Teme and the River Lugg.
Your Herefordshire will provide regular updates throughout the weekend.
