A flood alert has been issued on the River Lugg (South of Leominster).

The Environment Agency said:

“River levels are rising at the Lugwardine river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is imminent. We expect flooding to affect Low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Lugg south of Leominster from Stoke Prior to Mordiford. Other locations that may be affected include Bodenham, Lugwardine and Hampton Bishop. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 08:00 tomorrow morning on 31/10/2021, or as the situation changes.”
