Five schools in Herefordshire confirmed on Monday that students were self-isolating due to Coronavirus. Leominster Primary School, Kingstone & Thruxton Primary School, Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School, St Francis Xavier Primary School and St Mary’s C of E Primary School (Fownhope) all confirmed that at students were self-isolating with at least a single case recorded at each school.
It comes as Herefordshire recorded its highest increase in cases since July. 24 new cases were recorded on Monday, the highest since 15th July when a farm in Mathon, Herefordshire, had a significant outbreak where over 100 farm workers tested positive for the virus.
The UK reported 18,804 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.
