Five areas of Herefordshire continue to have ‘very high’ levels of COVID-19 infection, with infection rates in these areas above 800 cases per 100,000 population.
However, the sharp increase in new cases in Herefordshire appears to be stabilising, with 1207 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Herefordshire in the seven day period ending 29th September. This is up by 26.5% on the previous week but lower than the 59.8% increase the week before.
These are the areas with a ‘very high’ COVID-19 infection rate for the seven day period ending 29th September:
Fownhope, Tarrington & Marcle – 56 new cases (Infection rate of 812.9 cases per 100,000 population)
Kingstone & Kingsthorne – 100 new cases (Infection rate of 878 cases per 100,000 population)
Belmont, Madley & Clehonger – 77 new cases (Infection rate of 1124 cases per 100,000 population)
Hereford South – 122 new cases (Infection rate of 1247 cases per 100,000 population)
Hereford South West – 117 new cases (Infection rate of 1414 cases per 100,000 population)
