Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to Aylestone Park in Hereford on Wednesday evening.
They were called following reports of a fire in the open.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a fire in the open in Hereford on Wednesday at 10.14pm.
“One crew from Hereford Fire Station attended Aylestone Park, Aylestone Hill, after a report of an unattended camp fire.
“They carried out an inspection of the area on foot after finding no sign of a fire.
“The incident status was closed at 11pm.”
