Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to a wildfire that was close to properties in a Herefordshire village.
The incident occurred in the village of Elton, in north Herefordshire earlier this week.
One local resident described how fire crews tackled the fire and stopped it spreading to nearby properties.
Victoria said:
“People be aware. You hear a weird noise, crackling , and then smoke.
“We had a fire that almost got our village, Elton, in north Herefordshire.
“Our village was nearly torched! Local farmers who created a fire break and the fire service saved us! Be aware and be carefu!
“It’s tinder dry out there and nobody wants to experience this. This video was taken a short distance from my neighbours timber framed historic home.
“The village was evacuated and fire put out, we were lucky!”
