Fire crews from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire at a property in a Herefordshire village overnight.
The fire occurred in the village of Dorstone and crews from Peterchurch and Eardisley attended the incident.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Both the rescue pump and water carrier (Peterchurch) were called along with Eardisley Fire Station to an agricultural building fire near to Dorstone.
“Thanks to a local resident the fire located in a lambing shed was quickly identified and with the use of a hose reel jet we tackled it and extinguished it quickly before it got out of hand and caused extensive damage.
“Had such rapid intervention not taken place it would of quickly spread to adjacent barns, properties and machinery.
“Make sure to check electrical wiring is safe and the risk to your property is low.”
