Hereford & Worcester Fire & Rescue Service crews were called to a fire in the open in the Bartonsham area of Hereford this morning.
A member of the public spotted the smouldering fire this morning while out doing their daily exercise. They immediately contacted the fire service who dealt with it quickly.
People have reported seeing groups of people having drinks and food next to the river in this area over recent days.
