Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford were called to a tree fire on the outskirts of the city on Monday afternoon.
A spokesperson for Hereford Fire Station (Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service) said:
“Mobilised this afternoon to a tree fire in Huntington, Hereford.
“On arrival we located one large tree with a well developed fire spreading internally, also affecting the nearby vegetation.
“Crews set in the lightweight portable pump (LPP) to the nearby brook and extinguished the fire using a jet.
“To deal with the embers the crew then utilised axes, saws and hand tools to fully extinguish.”
