Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews have been called to a large fire involving a tractor in a Herefordshire village.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:

“Crew mobilised to report of large tractor fire in the open, Michaelchurch Escley.

“Initially supported by crews from Eardisland and Hay-on-wye.

“Luckily, the driver was unharmed and had alerted the family who had swiftly phoned 999.

“Due to its positioning in a remote ploughed field, access was limited. Therefore 4×4 response from Ross-on-wye was called, who assisted in extinguishing the fire.”
