Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews have been called to a fire near Hereford this afternoon.
Crews were called to a fire in the Stretton Sugwas area at around 1.50pm.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“Whites and Alpha mobilised this afternoon in the pump and Land Rover to a fire in open near Stretton Sugwas.
“The fire involved cut grassland, hedgerows and a tree. Extinguished using 2 x hose reel jets, beaters and the fogging unit.
“Crews checked the area with a thermal image camera ensuring no hotspots remained.
“In these tinder dry conditions wildfires can rapidly spread, please call 999 immediately if you see a fire.”
