Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to a fire involving a polytunnel near Ledbury this morning.
A spokesperson for Ledbury Fire Station said:
“This morning at 06.46, 1 Pump from Ledbury Fire Station, 1 pump from Hereford Fire Station and a water carrier from Leominster Fire Station attended a farm on Falcon Lane.
“We were met by staff who did a great job to guide us towards the best access to the incident.
“We found a large polytunnel with multiple seats of fire dotted around the site. The fire is believed to have been started by an electrical fault but not yet confirmed.
“The fire was extinguished using X2 hosereels, a back pack extinguisher and beaters.
“Hereford Fire Station remainded on scene to monitor the risk area while the other crews went to their day jobs.”
