Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from across the area are currently tackling a fire in the open near Ross-on-Wye.
Peterchurch Fire Station have sent a crew and have said that the incident is in the Hildersley area.
Local residents reported seeing smoke and flames in the area earlier this evening.
It comes as the Ross-on-Wye area, like the majority of England and Wales, has seen very little rain this summer, with fire crews across the country warning of the dangers of wildfires.
