A family from Hereford are appealing for witnesses after they had a lucky escape, when what is thought to be a scaffold pole, flew off a flatbed truck and hit the roof of the car they were travelling in, narrowly missing the windscreen.
The female that was driving is understandably shook up as she had three children in the car at the time of the incident. The incident happened on the B4348, just outside of Vowchurch at around 12.40pm this afternoon.
The lorry involved is believed to be a red flat bed truck. Any witnesses are asked to contact West Mercia Police quoting reference number 00276i070720.
