Extinction Rebellion protesters held a protest outside Barclays Bank in Hereford on Saturday.

A post on the Extinction Rebellion Marches Facebook Group said:

“Marches Red Rebels joined Extinction Rebellion Marches (XRMarches) today and went into Barclays UK bank to express their grief at the ecological crisis and the suffering that it is bringing to all life, by investing in fossil fuels, before leaving the cleaners to continue their attempt to clean up Barclays.”

The protesters walked into Barclays for a short time before heading back outside to continue their protest in Broad Street. A number of local residents praised the actions of the protesters, with climate change high on the agenda for many people.

Further protests are planned throughout the Spring and Summer.
