It’s Monday and the first day setting up Beer on the Wye. As the main marquee erection starts, the sunshine has come out to greet the team. Hopefully that’s a sign of things to come!

Herefordshire’s biggest beer and cider festival is set to return once again to the banks of the River Wye at the city’s rowing club over the weekend of the 8th to 10th July 2022.

Over 135 different beers (of every conceivable style, hue and strength) from the length of breath of the nation will feature on the main Beer Bar – a leviathan of barrels stretching for over 120 feet. Included is the ever-popular Herefordshire Brewers’ Bar sponsored this year by Ledbury Real Ales, where you can try some of the very best wares from our county brewers.

The team from the Hereford Beer House will be bringing their wealth of experience to the International beer bar this year, so look out for what will be an amazing selection of beers from across the world. There really is something for everyone – whatever your taste in beer.

To showcase Herefordshire’s cider heritage we aim to bring you over 130 different cider and perries to try again this year. A hundred of these are from Herefordshire producers with some excellent offerings from outside the county too.

Again we shall be hosting the prestigious CAMRA West Midlands Cider and Perry competition, winners of which will go through to the national stages.

People come from all over the UK (nay the world) to see (and try!) the largest selection of Herefordshire draught ciders and perries ever assembled under one roof. It all makes for a most impressive sight (and taste).
