The Environment Agency is warning people living near the River Lugg in Herefordshire to prepare for flooding.
Levels continue to rise, with heavy rain leading to levels on the Wye rising, meaning that the Lugg is backing up near Lugwardine, leading to more extensive flooding in this area.
In an update, the Environment Agency said:
“River levels are high but steady at the Lugwardine river gauge. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains.
“We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Lugg south of Leominster from Stoke Prior to Mordiford. Other locations that may be affected include Bodenham, Lugwardine and Hampton Bishop. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours.
“We are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated as the situation changes.”
