From Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service:
“Four Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Hereford and one each from Ewyas Harold and Fownhope – were called at 06:19 on 20 July to a house fire in Grenfell Road, Hereford.
“The crews were subsequently augmented by the Aerial Ladder Platform from Hereford Fire Station. Crews discovered a two-storey semi-detached house fully involved in fire. The fire, which had also spread to the roof space was fought by four firefighters in breathing apparatus using two hosereel jets. A hydrant was also used.
“One elderly male casualty was handed over to the care of paramedics – the ambulance service (log 1030) and police (log 110i) also attended. Grenfell Road was closed in both directions. As of 08:36, the incident was still ongoing.”
