A driver has tested positive for cocaine during a roadside test following a collision with a telegraph pole in Herefordshire.

The incident occurred on the A44 near Bromyard this evening.

The driver was also found to be in possession of Class A drugs. 

The vehicle left the road and smashed into the telegraph pole. The road was temporarily closed. 

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“Single vehicle collision on the A44 near Bromyard. 

“Vehicle had left the road colliding with a telegraph pole. Driver tested positive for cocaine and was also found to be in possession of Class A drugs.”
