There will be delays to postal services across Herefordshire for the next 7-10 days, due to a number of staff self-isolating after being notified by NHS Test & Trace.
A spokesperson for Royal Mail in Herefordshire told Your Herefordshire:
“Due to high levels of absence associated with the track and trace app at Royal Mail, there will be disturbances to deliveries and collections across the county for the next 7-10 days.”
Concerns have been directed towards the government from a number of companies in relation to the number of staff that could be forced to take time off work over the coming weeks, with a higher number of cases and the full reopening of society on 19th July expected to lead to hundreds of thousands of people being asked to self-isolate by NHS Track & Trace. The government is said to be looking at ways to improve the app to avoid people needlessly having to self-isolate.
