The Coronavirus outbreak at the AS Green Farm near Malvern is ‘under control’ according to MP for North Herefordshire Bill Wiggin.
When asked about the risk to the wider public, Mr Wiggin told BBC News at 6pm:
“These workers keep themselves to themselves and I don’t think the local community is at risk. The systems we have in place to track and trace are working properly.”
When asked whether the workers had adequate PPE, Mr Wiggin said:
“They pick broccoli so they probably have a knife. I don’t know what equipment they use. We should not be generalising these workers. I’ve had coronavirus and I wouldn’t wish it on anybody.”
