Herefordshire’s COVID-19 infection rate is remaining fairly steady, that’s despite thousands of lateral flow tests being carried out by secondary school and college students every week.

The lateral flow tests have identified a small number of cases at a couple of educational establishments across the county, which has seen schools receive praise from parents for the way they have handled the situation and the return of students to the classroom.

Parents at Lady Hawkins’ School and Luston & Shobdon Academy praised teachers for their professionalism and openness on the subject of COVID-19 testing after positive tests were identified.
