Hereford’s COVID-19 testing centre portable cabins were removed earlier this week.

Cranes were seen removing the cabins from Merton Meadow on Tuesday.

The COVID-19 testing centre opened during the height of the pandemic in 2020, with large queues seen entering the site at various stages of the pandemic.

The site closed to the public earlier this year, with cases remaining relatively low in Herefordshire since. The successful vaccine rollout has also meant that lockdown restrictions have remained lifted and free testing has come to an end for many people as the UK adjusts to a post COVID situation.
