It has been confirmed that a positive case of COVID-19 has been identified at Riverside Primary School in Hereford.
A letter sent to parents said:
We have been made aware that a member of staff at Riverside Primary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member concerned has limited contact with pupils and we would like to reassure you that no classes or year groups have been affected. Any close contacts of the individual have been made aware separately and advised to self-isolate for 14 days, in line with Public Health England advice.
The school remains open to all other children. Unless you have been notified by us that your child needs to self-isolate, children should continue to attend school as normal if they remain well.
As a precaution, please be alert for any symptoms of COVID-19. These are:
A new or continuous cough
A high temperature
A loss of or change to sense of smell or taste
