Hereford Sixth Form College has confirmed in an email to parents that a student has tested positive for COVID-19 and that a small number of students must self-isolate for 14 days as a result.
It comes as the college had to apologise after a video showing a distinct lack of social distancing came to light on social media.
An email sent to parents said:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am sorry to write informing you that a student member of our college community has tested positive for COVID-19.
In line with the Public Health England advice, the small number of students who have been in closer contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have received a letter informing them that they must stay at home for 14 days.
The college remains open and students should continue to attend as normal if they remain well. The following advice is issued to help our understanding.
