A church in Herefordshire has confirmed that it will be reintroducing COVID-19 measures this weekend, with cases once again on the rise in the county.
St Mary’s Church in Little Birch announced the following on their Facebook page:
“WE’RE BRINGING BACK COVID MEASURES IN NOVEMBER TO KEEP YOU SAFE.”
Face coverings will once again be compulsory in the church unless:
A) You are alone in church with nobody else present.
B) Taking the Service.
C) Reading in church and taking communion. You can still sing, but sing through your mask. It worked in Kingstone church on Monday evening, so there’s no reason why it can’t work in Little Birch too.
There will be a big sign to greet you on entry to the building pointing to our new Check-In area where you will be asked to sanitise your hands and sign in preferably using the QR scanner. (A manual sheet will be provided, but we would like to keep manual entries to an absolute minimum).
The seats in the North aisle, (left hand side of the church as you enter), will be reserved for vulnerable people and those wishing to social distance.
