Last spring the BBC came to Wye Valley NHS Trust to film three of our patients to talk about cancer.
Operation Ouch, hosted by Dr Chris and Dr Xand, is a programme created to help children understand medical conditions and what types of treatment they should expect if ever faced with a similar diagnosis to the patients featured.
This episode was a Cancer special explaining what it is, why people get it, how it can be treated and how to help someone going through it.
Three of our young patients, currently being supported by the Wye Valley Children’s Nursing Team, had the opportunity to ask the doctors about their medical condition.
Jo Jones, a Children’s Community Nurse at Wye Valley NHS Trust said “The children who took part all did an amazing job and are super excited to see themselves on TV”.
A special Thank you to Asda who have provided 20 movie night packs for the children to enjoy whilst watching the show.
The show will be aired on CBBC, Wednesday 8 February at 6pm or can be viewed now on BBC iPlayer HERE.
