Building work is set to commence soon, on a new M&S Foodhall that will create up to 70 jobs.
The M&S Foodhall will be built on the outskirts of Ludlow, near Sheet Road.
Planning permission was granted for the Foodhall in January 2024.
There had initially been concerns over M&S coming to Ludlow, due to worries over parking and its impact on shops in the town centre.
On social media, there was a mixed response, with many supporting the application, stating that they currently travel to Hereford, Kidderminster or Shrewsbury to shop at M&S.
However, a number of local residents were concerned about the application, with many stating that they didn’t see the benefits of M&S opening in Ludlow, due to its position on the outskirts of the market town.
Marks & Spencer have confirmed that the store will create 70 jobs in Ludlow.
