It has been confirmed that a Year 8 student at The Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School has tested positive for COVID-19.
An email from the school said:
We have been made aware of a member of our school community in Year 8 who following a COVID-19 test on Thursday 5th November received a positive result back yesterday on Friday 6th November. Following picking up the notification this morning on Saturday, we have worked as swiftly as possible with Public Health England to notify of our course on action.
We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.
The school has confirmed that due to not being able to identify who the individual has come into contact with at lunchtimes and at the beginning and end of the day, the whole of Year 8 will now need to self-isolate for 14 days.
