One of Britain’s most famous ravers is enjoying the quiet life of the Herefordshire countryside.
Mark Berry, who is better known as “Bez” is best known for being part of Manchester based group The Happy Mondays.
The group who inspired a generation of people back in the late 80’s and early 90’s had two top 5 hits in Step On & Kinky Afro.
Bez was in Hereford to open a new coffee shop in Church Street called La Dolce Vita.
He told Matt from Your Herefordshire:
“I live right on the edge of the Herefordshire and Wales border very close to Pontrilas, it’s really peaceful there and I love it.
“Bez will be performing a DJ set at the Hereford Indie Food Festival this weekend and added:
“I’m really looking forward to performing there, I don’t have too far to travel.” he joked.
As well as being part of the Happy Mondays, Bez is also a former winner of Celebrity Big Brother and also a qualified Beekeeper and brewer.
