It wouldn’t be a bank holiday in the UK without it raining, would it?

The Met Office has already confirmed that this weekend will be on the cool side, which certainly won’t be ideal for those of you that are heading to one of our wonderful local beer gardens. Fortunately, many have outdoor heaters!

Here’s what the Met Office are predicting for the weekend:

Today:

Sunny spells and the occasional isolated shower to start. Into the afternoon showers develop more widely as further cloud moves in, showers possibly turning heavy with hail. Feeling cold, despite gentle northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Clouds break up into the evening, and showers die out giving a dry and chilly night with potential rural frosts. Towards the morning, the occasional shower may start up again. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Saturday:

Patchy cloud, sunny spells and scattered showers through the day. These showers turning heavy at times. Turning dry and frosty again into the night. Feeling cold throughout, despite light winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunshine and showers on Sunday. Heavy rain then arrives from the west on Monday afternoon, bringing strong winds. Sunshine and showers return on Tuesday but remaining windy. Feeling cold throughout.
