Aylestone School was delighted to have a visit from Kim from The Little Princess Trust on Wednesday 24th March to thank the students for their recent fundraising efforts on behalf of the Trust.
Aylestone students had taken part in a range of events to raise money, including cake sales and a Wear Casual Clothes Day, for The Little Princess Trust. Kim met the School Council to explain the Trust’s work in cancer research, and tell them about the wigs it provides to children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment.
Aylestone’s School Council presented a cheque for £1659.39 to Kim, who was also able to meet some of the Aylestone students who have raised money for the charity outside school or have donated their hair to make Little Princess Trust wigs.
