An appeal for information has been launched after 60 5ft hedge plants were stolen from the Kingsland area of Herefordshire.
The incident occurred at the end of last week.
A post on social media said:
“We’ve had 60 5ft newly planted laurel hedge plants stolen overnight from our house in Kingsland.
“Heartbreaking for us given the time and money we’ve put into this.
“We are appalled and disgusted that anyone would even do this.
“If anyone is aware of anyone selling laurel hedging in the local area or has any other information relating to late night/early hours activity on Friday 26th/ Saturday 27th April on the A4110 between Border Oak and Luctonians Rugby Club, please let us know asap.
“This would have involved a large van or Luton bodied truck. Any information gratefully received.
“Given the exacting number of plants taken it is likely they were stolen to order.
“West Mercia Police have been informed.”
