An appeal for help has been launched after a dog was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle that reportedly didn’t stop between Clehonger and Madley.

A post shared with Your Herefordshire said:

“I’m hoping the power of Facebook will help.

“On the 31st March at around 4:45pm, just past Clehonger and heading to Madley, a light marble coloured sheep dog was struck by a vehicle heading into Hereford.

“He suffered a severely broken leg and was bleeding heavily after the collision.

“Unfortunately the person who hit him decided not to stop and carried on.

“He is currently in Birmingham being treated for his injuries but this could result in amputation.

“If anyone has any dash cam of this incident please come forward or if you yourself are the person who hit this lovely boy, you need to come forward.

”This poor boy did not deserve this and his owners are heartbroken that someone had left him to die on the side of the road.”
