Hereford Sixth Form College has confirmed that another student has tested positive for COVID-19.

An email to parents said:

“I am sorry to write informing you that another student member of our college community has tested positive for Covid-19.”

“In line with the Public Health England advice, the small number of students who have been in closer contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus have received a letter informing them that they must stay at home for 14 days.

“As before, the college remains open and students should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.”

It comes after students made complaints earlier about the lack of social distancing at the college during a fire drill. (Video Below)

The College responded by saying:

“An immediate risk overrides COVID regulations, as today’s alarm was a genuine fire alarm, although not an actual fire, students and staff responded appropriately by following fire regulations. The meeting place was outside and for a duration of less than 15 minutes, in line with procedure.”
