Waste and Recycling collections will remain as normal this Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday in Herefordshire but Herefordshire Council has politely asked residents for their assistance, with bin lorries unable to access some streets due to street parties.

The following message has been shared by Herefordshire Council:

“If your road is closed for a street party during the Jubilee celebrations on a day your bin is collected, please put your bin to the end of the road where the crew can stop safely without entering the road. If your road is closed we will unfortunately not be able to return.”

Herefordshire Council has also confirmed that Household Waste and Recycling sites will remain open as normal throughout the Platinum Jubilee celebrations and that local residents can book a slot to visit a site by visiting the following website – Household waste and recycling centres – Herefordshire Council
