Emergency services have been called to an incident where a vehicle has ended up on a level crossing.
The incident has occurred on the A49 at Onibury.
West Mercia Police are currently at the scene.
Fire crews are also at the scene.
A spokesperson for Church Stretton Fire Station said:
“RTC incident tonight for the Church Stretton crew on the level crossing at A49 Onibury.
“One vehicle has hit the barrier and come to rest on it’s side covering both railway tracks.
“Managed extraction of the one driver from the vehicle who is now being seen by the ambulance personnel.
“This A49 will be closed for sometime while the vehicle is recovered and the railway lines then inspected.”
The road is currently closed and trains are delayed / cancelled.
Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
