The A49 is likely to be closed for a time between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye this morning due to a broken down vehicle and possible damage to a bridge.
The incident has occurred between Ross-on-Wye and the village of Bridstow.
An update from West Mercia Police this morning said:
“Road closure is likely due to obstruction of broken down vehicle and possible damage to a bridge, A49 between Ross on Wye and Bridstow.
“This is causing traffic congestion, please use an alternative route.”
Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
